Do You Have Reading Difficulties?
Reading is crucial for learning and communication. Disorders like dyslexia hinder reading and comprehension. These difficulties require timely intervention, especially in children, to ensure they reach grade level and don't fall behind.
Fortunately, SpellRead offers an effective approach to help students get on an even playing field with their peers.

Why SpellRead Works
The key to catching up is learning to decode words efficiently. Many students with reading difficulties can decode words but the process takes a great deal more effort than it should. This feels frustrating and "not worth it" for many.
Other reading programs may have some similar features as SpellRead, but they do not produce automaticity and efficiency, which is what leads to catch-up growth.

Our Approach
Our successful approach to becoming an efficient reader has four components.
SpellRead's gold-standard, research-validated curriculum is designed to catch students up to grade level by helping them master word decoding to the point that it is automatic. When decoding words is automatic, it is an effortless, unconscious process that allows the reader to focus on content.

The people who teach SpellRead matter. We carefully select our instructors and provide extensive, ongoing training in SpellRead's approach. Our professional tutors understand reading and reading difficulties so well that they can tailor the curriculum to a student's particular needs.
|
We provide small-group instruction and private one-to-one instruction. This allows us to personalize instruction to each student, which makes the process much more effective and more efficient.
|
Recent research on "high-dosage" tutoring supports our format (60-minute sessions, multiple times per week for approximately nine-fifteen months). Combined with the other elements of our approach, this format accelerates learning and helps students catch up to grade level.

Catch Up Growth
Catch-up growth is accelerated progress. It means making more than one year of progress in one year to catch up to grade level. If students do not change the trajectory of their learning, they will remain behind for the rest of their education.
